Enjoy discovering the many species of birds that live in the natural bush around Peacehaven Country Cottages.
Peacehaven Cottages are located amid Dry Sclerophyll Forest and Rain Forest, with Eucalypt Forests dominated by Flooded Gums, Brushbox, Blue Gum, Tallow Wood, Spotted Gum, White Mahogany and Iron Bark. The property is an important nesting site for many species of bird.
Over 80 species of birds have been spotted on our property (see list below) and many more nearby. The picturesque Markwell Valley with rolling pastures flanked by State Forest ensures an abundance of birds and other wildlife. Nearby is Myall Lake National Park offering a vast range of birds of the wetlands.
Peacehaven is the perfect place to relax and catch up with the beautiful birds in our area. It is a birdwatching paradise, as shown by the photos below which were taken by one of our guests during a short stay.
