What We Offer

The Property
The Peacehaven property consists of 120 acres which is flanked by State Forest and The Little Myall River.

With river flats and forested slopes, the property is home to the Eadie family, a small herd of beef cattle including “Cheeky” the Bull, many harness racing horses which George trains and races, and Nita’s dressage horses.

Peace and Relaxation
Peacehaven Country Cottages are “far from the maddening crowd” - no phones, no television, no traffic noise, no deadlines. We offer you the perfect opportunity to relax and recharge. There are plenty of walks and seats to relax on while you take in the views.

Wildlife
The wildlife is abundant with kangaroos, koalas, goannas and countless birds seen regularly.

Farm animals
Chickens and ducks peck around the stable and yards, providing fresh eggs for a country breakfast. And, as mentioned above, we also have cattle and horses.

The cattle graze peacefully out in the back paddocks nursing new season calves for nine months of the year.

In addition to the horses we also have Tango the donkey, who has played nurse-maid to many foals and loves a cuddle.

Bird Watching
This beautiful area offers an abundance of bird life. In just one weekend over 50 species were spotted. From Wedge Tailed Eagles to Fairy Wrens, King Parrots to Bower Birds and Bush Turkeys, they are all here. Whether you are an avid bird watcher or out for a gentle stroll, grab a pair of binoculars and a bird identification book and you’ll be surprised what you will spot.

Bush Walks
The property and surrounding State Forests have many tracks that offer you the opportunity for a full day hike or a gentle stroll. We are located half-way along the Tops to Myall Heritage Trail, so Peacehaven is a great place to stop and revive when doing this classic 11 day walk.

Some of the tracks cross creeks and the Little Myall River ... and the nearby waterfall has a cool deep swimming hole providing the perfect place for a rest, to take in the serenity of the bush.

Swimming Pool
Come and relax beside or enjoy a swim in the 10 metre salt-water pool.

Spa
Enjoy a relaxing spa in the privacy of your own cottage with aromatic oils and bath salts.

Massage
Lay back and enjoy a relaxing massage in the privacy of your cottage. Nita is a qualified masseuse, so just let her know when you are ready to be pampered.

4 Wheel Driving
Throughout the area there are endless logging and forest Tracks that offer great 4WD adventures. Whether you live in the city and want to get your 4WD off road, or you are an experienced enthusiast, this area offers lots of excitement.

Horse Riding
Horse riding is available nearby at Forest Lodge or bring your own horse.

Mountain Bike Riding
Cycling through the bush has been cited as one of the best nurturing workouts you can have. Bring your mountain bike and enjoy the many forest trails.

Golf
Bulahdelah Golf Club is just 15 minutes away. A lovely rural 9-hole golf course, where visitors are always welcome.

Tennis
A full size tennis court is available free of charge just a 10 minute scenic drive away, along the lush Myall Valley at Markwell. Bring your own tennis rackets and balls (although we have a few you can borrow).

Reading
Relax and indulge in that book you’ve been meaning to read. Or choose from the many books in our library.

Games
How long has it been since you played a board game? Bring your own or borrow one of ours.

Watch a Video
Take the time to watch a favourite movie or video you haven’t had time to see. Bring your own videos, or hire one in Bulahdelah. Video player available on request.

Food
Both cottages are fully self-contained for you to bring your own food. But if you haven’t had time or can’t be bothered we can supply provisions for a hearty country breakfast and a BBQ dinner for you to cook when you are hungry.

BYO
Please bring your own beer, wine or spirits. Bottle shops are available in Bulahdelah.

Whilst we don’t encourage you to contact the outside world while you are here, we understand you may have to. We have available telephone, email, internet, fax and word processing facilities should you need it.
