You can enjoy activities around the farm or explore the surrounding area.
Peace and Relaxation
Peacehaven Country Cottages are “far from the madding crowd” – no phones, no television, no traffic noise, no deadlines. We offer you the perfect opportunity to relax and recharge. There are plenty of walks and seats to relax on while you take in the views.
The wildlife is abundant with kangaroos, koalas, goannas and over 80 species of birds are seen regularly. See our bird list. Binoculars and a bird identification book are available for your stay.
Chickens, peacocks and ducks peck around the stable and yards. We sell our eggs for a country breakfast.
The beef cattle graze peacefully out in the back paddocks nursing new season calves for nine months of the year.
In addition to the horses we also have Tangy the donkey, who has played nurse-maid to many foals and loves a cuddle.
The property and surrounding State Forests have many tracks that offer you the opportunity for a full day hike or a gentle stroll. Myall River, Bulahdelah, and Wang Wauk State Forests are all within walking distance, as is Ghin Dooee National Park.
We are located half-way along the Tops to Myall Heritage Trail, so Peacehaven is a great place to stop and revive when doing this classic 11 day walk.
You can take the 8km return waterfall walk, crossing the Little River many times before you reach the nearby waterfall which has a cool, deep swimming hole, providing the perfect place for a rest, to take in the serenity of the bush.
Come and relax beside or enjoy a swim in the 10 metre salt-water pool. We have plenty of sun loungers to relax on and many pool toys.
Enjoy a relaxing spa bath in the privacy of your own cottage with aromatic oils and bath salts.
Enjoy a relaxing massage in the privacy of your own cottage, Nita is a qualified masseur. Be pampered.
